How to Choose Your New Match Style

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to choose the match style to suit your business, professional or personal needs and the steps you need to take to decide on your unique matchbook/matchbox design.

Purpose:

Determine the purpose for which you need matches. Are you looking for matches to light candles or cigars, start a fire in a fireplace, or for outdoor activities like camping or hiking? This will help you narrow down your options. There are different types of matchsticks to correspond to each of these activities.  Select the proper tool for the job.

Safety:

Prioritize safety when choosing matches. Look for matches that are designed to be strike-on-box or strike-on-pack, meaning they can be easily ignited by striking them against the box or pack. All our matches have built-in strikers. Avoid matches that require striking on a separate surface, as they can be more dangerous.

Strike Surface:

Consider the striking surface on the matchbox or matchbook. Some matchboxes have a rough strip on the side, while others have a strip on the back cover. Matchbooks usually have a strip on the inside. Choose the type of strike surface that is most convenient and easy for you to use.

Quantity:

Determine how many matches you will need. Matchboxes typically hold more matches than matchbooks. If you require a larger quantity of matches, opt for matchboxes. Matchbooks are often more compact and suitable for carrying in your pocket or purse. Do you want a sleek 10-strike matchbox?  or a large fancy 140-strike tent-style matchbox? or a cute 12-strike matchbook? or large specialty 40-strike matchbook?

Weather Resistance:

If you plan to use matches in outdoor environments or during camping trips, consider weather resistance. Waterproof matches or matches specifically designed for outdoor use are ideal for wet or windy conditions. These matches are typically coated or waxed to make them water-resistant.

Extra Features:

Some matchboxes or matchbooks come with additional features like built-in

strikers, safety mechanisms, or extra-long matches for hard-to-reach places like our fireplace and BBQ matchbox. These features can enhance convenience and safety, so consider them based on your needs.

Brand Reputation:

Choose matches from reputable brands known for producing high-quality and reliable products. Read reviews or seek recommendations from others to ensure you’re selecting matches that are known for their performance and safety.

Cost:

Finally, consider your budget. Matches are generally affordable, but prices can vary based on brand and features. Compare prices and choose matches that offer the best value for your needs.

Remember, always exercise caution and follow proper safety guidelines when using matches. Store them in a cool, dry place away from children and flammable materials.
